OK ALL – finally got some pricing for the WINTER GP in the ZONE and it’s looking like a great deal!
(Quote) (Enda’s Forum post)
I’ve managed to get GP plus Pizza plus a Drink (soft!) all for 30 Euros a head.
(normal price GP alone is 44 Euro – this price is for 10+ drivers so please sign up NOW so I can confirm Booking)?????
- In addition the club is going to subsidise first 15 who sign up here on-line by 5 Euros each (now it’s only 25 Euros each!!!!)
- Plus we will also refund the winner his entry fee of 25 Euro (so someone will race FREE!!!!)
- Plus the ZONE said they will look at a few prizes on top of that SO SIGN UP NOW and let’s make it a race day to remember.
We might get racing kicked off a little earlier on the 18th – maybe gates open 9am and off the line 10am????
Let’s take a short lunch break and finish racing around 2/2.30pm?????
GP planned for 3/3.30pm??????
Give me a call if any questions and yes this is open to pit men and friends so get those names in.
The more that race the cheaper the ZONE will make it but places are limited and reckon 20 is the limit (but let’s worry about that when we get that many entries!!).
Contact Enda or post on forum, thanks

Winter Race Ireland 2011
Dublin Model Car Club 9th – 11th DECEMBER 2011
Well there goes the end of the Summer Champs….or winter we could say, and on we go now to the winter winter championships!
Navan Nitro Nuts kicked off our Summer Championships on Monday 2nd May and finished up on the 25th September. We’d like to thank the new, novice and seasoned racers who turned out at each round. We intended to run 3 classes again this year of Buggy, Truggy & Open Fun Class and invited all classes of buggy, truggy & truck. We ended up just running Buggy and putting everyone else in the Truggy class and it worked out well. We invited both nitro and electric 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive and both 1:10 & 1:8 scale and did have entries from 2WD and 4WD Short Course trucks. Our planned trip to BADMCC didn’t happen as Barkley had to make some last minute changes so we stayed at home.
Heres the leaderboard which can also be viewed in the events calendar, Click on it to zoom

The Radio Control 1:8 scale Off-Road National Championship comes back to Navan Nitro Nuts track here in Navan’s MDL grounds next Saturday & Sunday (10th & 11th September 2011). Saturday is a practice day while Sunday will see the best drivers in the 32 counties fight it out for podium positions. With some of the all time favorites having to emigrate to far off lands since last years Nationals then we would hope to be seeing some new faces on the podium at each round. We have also seen a serious shift away from Truggy to Buggy leaving a very small (3!!!) entry of truggy drivers. However nobody forced last years top truggy drivers to transfer over so it leaves the remaining truggy drivers (currently all from Navan) to fight it out among themselves and we are enjoying it!.
Entries in the 1st round were well down (almost by 50%) on last year and we are seeing the obvious impact of the ecomonic downturn even at our sport. With a lot of our members now out of work and race days are not for free (unfortunately) it’s not surprising but we are still encouraging lads to work together to share the costs and make the trip. Navan had the 2nd higest entry at the 1st round in Banbridge with 7 drivers, 3 other members pitting and unfortunately a few who couldn’t make it at the last minute@@ so let’s support next Sunday even better and up these numbers.
If you are looking for Accomodation in Navan – call us & we’ll c what we can do if you are having no joy with the numbers we are providing here;
